Ariel
Dorfman holds the Walter Hines Page Chair of Literature and Latin
American Studies at Duke University. He has a Licenciatura in Comparative
Literature from the Universidad de Chile, Santiago, 1965 and has taught
at the Universidad de Chile, the Sorbonne (Paris IV) and the University
of Amsterdam. His educational and research work have always been combined
with, and informed by, his literary explorations and his engagement
in the major issues of our time.On the one hand, this page adresses
both the specifically academic component (classes, academic essays,
speeches) and the multifaceted use of his art in schools, universities
and human rights organizations. We hope you will enjoy the ways in
which these activities overlap and develop. |
